1.3: Design Principles - Interior Styles

Contemporary – mostly discreet lighting, less decorative, scallops of light. 
Super Contemporary/Minimalist – mostly discreet lighting, angular shaped fittings, linear LED. 
Classic – may have more decorative ie. wall-lights, picture lights, pendants, chandeliers.
Eclectic/post modern/kitsch – mix of the above – listen to the client / interior designer.

In all cases, match interior design – work closely with Interior Designer (if there is one). Whatever the interior style, the basic principles of ‘layers of light and how to control them’ still apply
