Accent Lighting

*  Accent lighting is used to provide 'Wow factor' in the home by accentuating architectural features such as arches, windows, recesses and exposed walls. It is also widely used to highlight decorative pieces such as pictures, paintings, sculptures and artwork displays.

* In-floor uplighters create a dramatic lit effect when used to uplight windows, exposed walls and sculptures. Always use high CRI (97+) fittings to enhance the colour of object. Colour temperature should be warm max 2700K. For uplighting exposed walls use a wall-wash lens, which will graze light up the wall, enhancing its texture.

* Pictures and paintings are best lit by positioning an adjustable ceiling-recessed downlight or spotlight directly in front of the artwork, set 400-900mm back from the wall, depending on the actual fitting being used.
